EJH Obtains a four-year accreditation as a training center for Pediatric Surgery
East Jeddah Hospital has gained a new medical achievement by obtaining a renewal of accreditation of the Pediatric Surgery Training Program by the accreditation committee of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties for a period of four years with an increase in the capacity of the trainees. In addition to that, the committee has approved the Department of Pediatric Surgery as a joint training center for Saudi fellow physicians, after passing all the requirements and implementing all the scientific and practical requirements required by the Committee in this regard.
This accreditation is considered as a new achievement for the hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health and aims to harness all administrative and educational capabilities in training centers for training objectives in post-graduate training programs and is added to the rest of the achievements made by the hospital. Dr. Hanan Jawa, Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery, also noted that this accreditation was made with the grace of Allah and then the great efforts made by Dr. Murad Al-Sayegh, a pediatric consultant and the RTP for the pediatric training program, and Dr. Nasser Shukry, the Deputy RTP who have invested a lot of their time and efforts that resulted in such success.
It is worth mentioning that the hospital administration is working hard to continue making all its efforts to obtain similar credits for the various medical and technical departments in support of them for the success of all training and educational programs implemented by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and to keep abreast of the Ministry's visions and aspirations compatible with the national transformation plans and the vision of the Kingdom 2030.
