KSRelief participates in GSSD Expo 2018
King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center participates in the 2018 annual Global South-South Development (GSSD Expo), held here today and organized under the auspices of the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation, in cooperation with United Nations agencies and all development actors to promote concrete southern initiatives that help achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
About 50 institutional partners representing the United Nations, the private sector, regional organizations and about 800 delegates from more than 120 member countries will take part in the expo.
KSRelief launches food aid program in Hodeidah and distributes food baskets in Dhale, Yemen
King Salman Humanitarian Aid and for Relief Center launched a new food aid program for displaced people in Hodeidah Governorate on Wednesday, in the presence of Undersecretary of Hodeidah Governorate Waleed Al-Qadeemi.
During the inauguration, Al-Qadeemi noted the humanitarian action carried out by the Center in all governorates of Yemen and in particular Hodeidah.
For his part, the director of the office of the Center in Aden, said that the Center adopted 15000 food baskets will be distributed to displaced people in Aden, Lahj, Dali and residents of liberated areas, explaining that the food baskets contain flour, rice, sugar and margarine, and legumes, as well as the distribution of shelter materials such as tents, blankets, and mattresses.
A team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributed 30 tons of food baskets in Dhale governorate.
The Deputy Governor of the Governorate of Dhale Nabil Al-Afif and a number of officials appreciated the Center for its efforts of great humanitarian service to the people of Yemen and in particular the people of the province of Dhale.
KSRelief distributes school bags and winter uniforms to Syrian students
KSRelief also has distributed 1,885 school bags and 1,885 winter uniforms to Syrian students in a number of Lebanese schools, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Lebanon.
This assistance comes in support of the educational process of the children of Syrian refugees in all countries.
