King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched the Saudi Noor Volunteer Program to combat blindness and its causes in Gabon.
Saudi Ambassador to Gabon Faraj bin Nader stated that the program reflects a concrete embodiment of the strong cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Gabon, through the Kingdom’s support for the vital and strategic healthcare sector. He noted that a specialized medical and technical team from KSrelief is implementing the program in collaboration with the Saudi Embassy in Libreville and the Gabonese Ministry of Health.
The initiative will continue through August 25, with the medical team scheduled to return to the Gabonese capital for a follow-up visit in mid-September.
The project forms part of Saudi Arabia’s global medical initiatives aimed at preventing and treating blindness, highlighting the Kingdom’s continued commitment, through its humanitarian arm KSrelief, to supporting individuals affected by eye diseases in underserved communities worldwide.
