Andreas Beck: Kyndryl is supporting Saudi Arabia in driving its national technology agenda

1. Please tell us about yourself and about your participation at LEAP?

My name is Andreas Beck. I'm the managing director of Kyndryl in the Middle East and Africa. Kyndryl is the world's largest information technology infrastructure services provider. We're serving thousands of enterprise customers in more than sixty-three countries. We're designing, building, managing, and modernizing the complex mission-critical information systems that the world depends on—airlines, auto manufacturers, and so on. And LEAP is a very important platform to bring technology and business and industry providers and companies together and the sheer magnitude of LEAP is very impressive and it just is another confirmation of the Kingdoms agenda to modernize and digitize the Kingdom.

2. What are you showcasing at LEAP?

Our strategy at Kyndryl is to modernize and transform information technology through alliances with hyperscalers and advanced delivery. We are here to display our capabilities at the Microsoft stand in different domains like managed services, infrastructure, security, cybersecurity, and resilience.

3. What are you expecting from this year’s exhibition? Do you think there are any MoU or project signings?

Of course, this is to display our capabilities, to showcase our capabilities to customers and partners, and of course, to connect and build relationships with other customers and companies.

4. With the Kingdom moving towards digital transformation, how can Kyndryl’s services help organizations transform?

Kyndryl is supporting KSA in driving its national technology agenda, helping to improve the efficiency of government and businesses. At the same time, we're enabling better business outcomes through innovation, transformation, and AI technologies. And we have been present in Saudi Arabia since day one of Kyndryl, which was more than a year ago, with our offices and employees on the ground to be as close to our customers as possible, and that's where we are going to make a difference in Saudi Arabia. We're very committed to the digital journey that our customers are on and that the government is on, and we're taking a lot of certifications very seriously to bring more value to customers and the government.

5. Is Kyndryl working with the government and private sector?

Yes, private companies and banking, and also the government.

6. Tell us about Kyndryl’s history in Saudi Arabia?

Kyndryl has been an independent company since November 2021, and we have been present in Saudi Arabia from day one. We were established as a start-up at scale. Out of strength with 90,000 people globally serving more than 1000 customers in and in over sixty countries.
