King Khalid University Media Statement on the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024
King Khalid University (KKU) continues its efforts to strengthen its global reputation and advance its human and technological capabilities in alignment with the national objectives outlined in Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. These initiatives aim to bolster KKU's academic and research pursuits while serving its pivotal role in societal enrichment and enhancing human and spatial efficiency.
Through the strategic implementation of plans and initiatives outlined in KKU's 2030 strategy, the university has made significant strides in enhancing its standing among peer institutions both nationally and internationally. This progress is evident in the QS World University Rankings by Subject for 2024, where KKU has achieved notable milestones in its scientific disciplines and research areas.
KKU has secured rankings in seven scientific specializations, with two scientific fields out of five being classified this year. Notably, the university has broken into the top 200 universities globally in Chemical Engineering, ranking 151-200. Additionally, KKU has demonstrated strong performance in fields such as Physics and Space Sciences, where it ranks 301-350 globally.
In terms of specific disciplines, KKU has achieved the following rankings:
351-400 globally in Mathematics and Chemistry
401-450 globally in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
451-500 globally in Medicine, Computer Science, and Information Systems
Professor Hamed Majdooa Algarni, Vice President of KKU for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, emphasized KKU's commitment to enhancing its research and innovation capabilities and elevating the quality of its academic programs.
