Australian Elvis Smylie Secures 2026 LIV Golf Riyadh Championship
Australian Elvis Smylie is the individual champion of the ROSHN Group LIV Golf Riyadh 2026 at the Riyadh Golf Club, finishing at 24-under par. His team, Ripper GC, won the team title with a total of 69-under par.
Smylie secured victory with an 8-under par performance on the final day, finishing one stroke ahead of Spain's Jon Rahm (Legion XIII) and American Peter Uihlein (RangeGoats GC) at 21-under par.
Following his win, Smylie praised the intense competition in the LIV Golf League and emphasized the need for focus and adaptability. He acknowledged the challenges of his first league appearance and expressed gratitude for the supportive environment.
In the team competition, Ripper GC claimed the title with a final score of 26-under par, totaling 69-under for the tournament. Torque GC finished second at 66-under, while 4Aces GC secured third place at 59-under.
LIV Golf Riyadh marks the opening tournament of the 2026 LIV Golf League season, which features elite golfers across multiple continents. Players will head to Adelaide, Australia, for the second round.
