Final Plenary Session of Arab Parliament's Fourth Legislative Term Kicks Off in Cairo

The fifth and final plenary session of the first session of the Arab Parliament’s fourth legislative term opened today at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo, chaired by Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi.
 Several members of the Saudi Shura Council, who also serve in the Arab Parliament, participated in the session. They included Saad Al-Otaibi, member of the Economic and Financial Affairs Committee and recently elected First Deputy Speaker of the Arab Parliament; Abdullah bin Aifan, member of the Foreign Affairs, Political and National Security Committee; Dr. Tariq Al-Shammari, member of the Legislative, Legal and Human Rights Affairs Committee; and Hanan Al-Simari, member of the Social, Educational, Cultural, Women and Youth Affairs Committee.
 The session addressed a broad spectrum of political, security, economic, social, cultural, and human rights developments in the Arab region. It also reviewed key Arab, regional, and international issues and deliberated on reports submitted by the four standing committees of the Arab Parliament.
