KSrelief Launches Volunteer Medical Projects in Damascus under AMAL Initiative

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) launched four volunteer medical projects in Damascus as part of the Saudi Volunteer Program for Syrians (AMAL), deploying 71 volunteers from various medical specialties.

The medical team performed 39 cardiac electrophysiology surgeries, 68 cardiac surgeries, 159 orthopedic and corrective surgeries, and 175 adult and pediatric cardiac catheterization surgeries—all of which were successfully completed. The team also trained 331 Syrian medical personnel.

The initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian efforts, carried out through KSrelief, to support vulnerable Syrians affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
