Saudi Industry, Transport, Logistics Entities Attend ‘Transport Logistic 2025’ in Munich
The international transport and logistics exhibition “Transport Logistic 2025" launched today in Munich, Germany, through the Saudi pavilion’s strategic collaboration between the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) and the "Invest Saudi” initiative. The pavilion brings together over 22 entities from the Kingdom's industry, transport, and logistics services ecosystems alongside the Ministry of Investment.
The first day of the exhibition witnessed the signing of five significant agreements aimed at enhancing collaboration within the logistics sector, improving supply-chain efficiency, and attracting high-quality investments. Six specialized workshops were held, addressing key developments in infrastructure, digital transformation, special economic zones, logistics integration, and opportunities to develop human capital.
The main session, titled "It's Happening: Saudi Logistics Now," featured the participation of NIDLP Chief Executive Eng. Suliman Almazroua and highlighted the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's transformation journey in the logistics sector. He emphasized the creation of interconnected systems built on close coordination and strong government-private partnerships, supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The workshop featured two focused sessions. The first addressed enablers of the sector, including talent development and strengthening the logistics system, with the participation of Saudi Logistics Academy (SLA) Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Alabdulkarim, NIDLP Deputy Chief Executive for Logistics Services and Logistics Services Committee Secretary Eng. Mousa Albarqi, and Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services Assistant Deputy Minister for Sector Enablement Nouf Alfares.
The second session focused on the role of ports and Maersk's investment in Jeddah Islamic Port, which aims to enhance logistics services and operational capabilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ports, consolidating its leading and prominent role on the international maritime map. The session featured the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) Vice President for Commercial Business Abdullah Al-Munif, and the head of Maersk Logistics Hub in Jeddah Eng. Peter Knapp.
The internal workshops at the Saudi Pavilion highlighted the strategic role of logistics as a key enabler of economic development. They presented national case studies on empowering logistics hubs, advancing regulatory framework, and expanding localization of specialized talent, further strengthening the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's position as a global logistics hub connecting three continents.
Activities at the Saudi pavilion will continue in the coming days, including bilateral meetings, additional agreement signings, and interactive workshops, all part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to showcase its progress in the logistics and transport fields, strengthen supply-chain investment, and achieve the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
