ZATCA Launches Digital Assistant ‘Ask Ziyad’ to Enhance Customer Experience and Digital Transformation

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) announced the launch of the digital assistant “Ask Ziyad,” supported by artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. The announcement was made during the Digital Government Forum as part of ZATCA’s commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s digital transformation journey and enhancing customer experience in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

Governor of ZATCA Engineer Suhail Abanmi delivered a speech at the forum organized by the Digital Government Authority (DGA), in which he stated that the digital assistant “Ask Ziyad” reflects ZATCA’s commitment to contributing effectively to the Kingdom’s digital transformation by launching innovative digital initiatives, services, and tools that improve operational efficiency, enhance zakat, tax, and customs compliance, and enable customers to conveniently and easily access accurate information.

Abanmi noted that the digital assistant is powered by generative AI and serves as a comprehensive and reliable reference for all customer segments benefiting from ZATCA’s services, including taxpayers, importers, exporters, investors, travelers, individuals, and business owners. He added that the assistant uses its capabilities to provide customers with accurate information, respond instantly to inquiries, and help them understand their obligations and rights, thereby improving compliance in zakat, tax, and customs.

He emphasized that the launch of the digital assistant is part of ZATCA’s continuous efforts to adopt sustainable digital transformation and employ cutting-edge technologies to enhance customer experience.

The digital assistant “Ask Ziyad” responds to zakat, tax, and customs-related inquiries precisely and efficiently through a comprehensive database containing more than one hundred and thirty guidelines available on ZATCA’s website (zatca.gov.sa). It interacts with customers in both audio and text formats, contributing to higher satisfaction levels among taxpayers, whether individuals or businesses.

The initiative embodies ZATCA’s vision to invest in modern technologies to enhance the zakat, tax, and customs ecosystem, promote compliance, and increase service efficiency.
