Saudi Cultural Infrastructure Investment Exceeds SAR81 Billion Since Launch of Vision 2030

The Ministry of Culture announced today during the Cultural Investment Conference, organized at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh from September 29 to 30 under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, that investments in cultural infrastructure have surpassed SAR81 billion since the launch of Saudi Vision 2030. The significant allocation was made through contributions from the public, private, and non-profit sectors.

The investments are diverse, covering the development and rehabilitation of historical and heritage sites as well as the establishment of museums, libraries, art and literary galleries, training facilities, and cultural production centers.

These new cultural assets span all major cultural sectors, including heritage, literature, film, music, architecture and design, fashion, culinary arts, visual arts, and performing arts. The integrated effort across all three sectors aims to establish a solid foundation for cultural and creative production, open new investment horizons, and achieve the goals of the National Culture Strategy to make culture a way of life and a driver of economic growth.
