Dentistry Localization Program Enters Second Phase for Private Sector Professionals

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, announced the start of the second phase of the decision to raise localization rates for dentistry professions in the private sector, effective January 27.
This decision is part of the two ministries’ efforts to enhance the participation of national competencies in the labor market and provide motivating, productive job opportunities for both male and female citizens across the Kingdom, supporting the objectives of the Labor Market Strategy and improving the quality of health services in line with the targets of the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030. The second phase applies to all private sector establishments employing three or more workers in dentistry specializations, with a localization rate of 55%.
The decision builds on initiatives to localize health professions, with the Ministry of Health overseeing its implementation in line with labor market needs. Private sector establishments will also benefit from support programs and incentives provided by the human resources and social development ecosystem, including assistance with recruitment, training, qualification, employment, and job retention, as well as priority access to localization support programs and initiatives of the Human Resources Development Fund.
