KSrelief: Saudi Arabia’s Humanitarian Arm Reaching Out to the World’s Needy Marks 10th Anniversary

Today marks the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), founded under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on May 15, 2015. Serving as Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian arm, the center has provided essential support to those in need and affected by crises across the globe.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of KSrelief Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah highlighted the center’s founding as an embodiment of the aspirations of Vision 2030. Over the past decade, KSrelief has carried out diverse humanitarian initiatives in more than 107 countries. Established amid global challenges, the center has emerged as a leading model in international humanitarian work, powered by its committed and professional team.

Dr. Al Rabeeah emphasized that despite global hardships—ranging from natural disasters and armed conflicts to financial crises—Saudi Arabia has maintained its commitment to alleviating human suffering without discrimination, inspired by Islamic values of compassion and respect.

Reflecting on his own experiences, Dr. Al Rabeeah shared that his work at KSrelief has provided him with deep insight into the realities of humanitarian efforts, particularly in supporting refugees, displaced persons, and vulnerable populations. He urged others to engage in volunteer and relief work, describing it as a profoundly rewarding experience for all involved.
