KSrelief Distributes New Shelter Aid in Southern Gaza

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), through implementing partner the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, today distributed new shelter aid, including a large number of tents, to displaced families who lost their homes amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in southern Gaza. The assistance aims to protect beneficiaries from severe weather conditions including strong winds and heavy rainfall, as part of the Saudi popular campaign to support the Palestinian people.

Displaced families expressed unanimous appreciation for the Kingdom’s assistance, affirming that it reflects a deep-rooted humanitarian legacy long associated with Saudi Arabia. They conveyed their gratitude for the support, which helped restore a sense of security and stability after prolonged hardship and protected them from harsh weather conditions. Beneficiaries noted that the Kingdom's generosity is firmly embedded in its history and represents a continuation of its longstanding humanitarian stance in support of those in need worldwide.

The Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage continues its relief efforts to protect displaced families from severe weather conditions. The center has established both air and sea bridges, through which 74 aircraft and eight ships have arrived to date, carrying more than 7,677 tons of food, medical supplies, and shelter materials. In addition, 20 ambulances were delivered to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.

The center has also signed agreements with international organizations to implement relief projects in the Gaza Strip valued at $90.35 million. Furthermore, humanitarian airdrops were conducted in partnership with Jordan to bypass border crossing closures and ensure the continued delivery of aid.

The assistance comes as part of the ongoing humanitarian efforts undertaken by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm KSrelief to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip amid the severe humanitarian conditions they continue to face.
