The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance achieved notable accomplishments in volunteer work programs during the first quarter of 2026, with active participation from its branches across the Kingdom.
The ministry stated that the total number of volunteer opportunities reached 18,570, with 203,823 male and female volunteers participating. They contributed a total of 15,451,732 volunteer hours, generating an economic return exceeding SAR138 million; an indicator reflecting the expanding scope of volunteer work and its growing societal impact.
It also noted that these efforts coincided with the month of Ramadan, during which volunteer activities included cleaning, sanitizing, and perfuming mosques, organizing and guiding worshippers, as well as serving the elderly and people with disabilities, contributing to providing a suitable environment for performing rituals with ease and tranquility.
