MWL Condemns Continued Violence Against Gaza Civilians, Settler Attacks on West Bank Village
The Muslim World League (MWL) strongly condemned the Israeli occupation forces' targeting of civilian shelters housing displaced people, the continued violence against civilians in the Gaza Strip, and the brutal attacks carried out by Israeli settlers on the village of Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah, describing these assaults as part of a broader pattern of settler violence against Palestinians, perpetrated under the protection of the occupation forces with complete impunity.
In a General Secretariat statement, MWL Secretary-General Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, denounced the ongoing heinous crimes committed against unarmed civilians in the Palestinian territories. He called the attacks a blatant violation of all human values as well as international laws and norms.
Al-Issa emphasized the urgent need for the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities in the face of the occupation government’s continued disregard for the rights, dignity, and humanity of the Palestinian people. He called for a swift and serious response to halt the horrific massacres carried out by the Israeli war machine and for the activation of international mechanisms to deter such actions and hold the perpetrators accountable.
