GCC Rheumatology Conference 2026 Concludes

The GCC Rheumatology Conference 2026 concluded today after being held from February 4 to 7, 2026, organized by the Saudi Society for Rheumatology, with the participation of leading local and international speakers and health leaders from various sectors to discuss the latest scientific developments in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases.

The congress featured a qualitative distinction by organizing two separate scientific conferences – one for adult rheumatology and another for pediatric rheumatology – supporting sub-specialization and enhancing healthcare services across age groups, in cooperation with the Pediatric Rheumatology Arab Group.

It covered several scientific themes aimed at improving healthcare services in the Kingdom, including recent therapeutic advances in rheumatoid arthritis and spinal inflammations, diagnostic challenges in vasculitis, and the treatment of neuropsychiatric lupus and lupus nephritis.

Conference Chairperson and President of the Saudi Society for Rheumatology Dr. Hanan Al-Rayes said the event aims to highlight challenges and scientific advances in the treatment of rheumatic diseases and promote evidence-based healthcare to improve service quality in the Kingdom.

She noted that the society seeks to strengthen diagnostic and therapeutic capacities in line with global best practices, contributing to the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a leading healthcare model regionally and internationally.
