Over 6,000 Trees Enhance Environmental Quality and Pilgrims’ Experience in Madinah Central Area

Madinah Region Development Authority has carried out tree-planting and urban beautification works in the central area surrounding the Prophet’s Mosque to enhance environmental quality and improve the experience of pilgrims and visitors during the Hajj season.

The works included planting more than 6,000 trees and a variety of plants suited to the local climate. The initiative helps lower temperatures, improve air quality, and enhance the urban landscape in the streets and squares surrounding the Prophet’s Mosque, as part of an integrated group of development projects aimed at improving the visual landscape and strengthening environmental sustainability.

The projects also align with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to develop cities and raise the quality of life and services provided to visitors and pilgrims.
