Heritage Commission Restores Al-Badee Principality Center in Najran’s Al-Hadn
Al-Badee Principality Center in Najran’s Al-Hadn neighborhood is deeply rooted in residents’ memories as the region’s first principality headquarters and a living witness to the Kingdom’s unification under King Abdulaziz Al Saud. Established in 1359 AH, it embodies national culture and history.
The principality reflects the Kingdom’s path of sustainable development and efforts to strengthen national identity, supporting the building of integrated, prosperous communities and broader stability across the country.
The Heritage Commission has restored and rehabilitated Al-Badee Principality Center under a heritage buildings care program to protect it from deterioration and transform it into a historical, cultural and tourism destination. The site introduces visitors to the Kingdom’s development stages and traditional architectural arts, raises awareness of the value of heritage and reinforces a sense of belonging among citizens, while supporting economic and cultural development and preserving the sustainability of the local urban identity.
