Health Ministry Activates 30 Health Units at Holy Sites to Serve Pilgrims
The Ministry of Health has activated 30 health units to serve pilgrims during the Hajj season, including 26 units in Muzdalifah and four distributed across the Jamarat area and the Grand Mosque.
The initiative aims to strengthen healthcare coverage and accelerate access to medical services as part of the Kingdom’s broader efforts to provide comprehensive healthcare for pilgrims.
The health units provide a range of treatment services for pilgrims, including management of heatstroke and heat exhaustion, treatment of skin injuries and chafing, response to asthma attacks and fainting incidents, and treatment of bites and stings caused by reptiles.
The ecosystem has also deployed more than 3,000 ambulance vehicles and medical support units of various types, in addition to 11 air ambulance aircraft and 526 rapid ambulance response points.
