Riyadh Mayor Meets with Mayors of European and Arab Cities at AECD

Mayor of Riyadh Region Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf has held bilateral meetings with several mayors of European cities, in the interest of enhancing international cooperation and exchanging urban experiences, as part of the Arab European Cities Dialogue (AECD 2025).
 Prince Faisal held a bilateral meeting with Mayor of Madrid José Luis Martinez-Almeida, where they discussed strategies to strengthen the partnership between the Saudi and Spanish capitals and explored opportunities for cooperation across various urban sectors. He then met with Mayor of Amman Dr. Yousef Al Shawarbeh to review aspects of collaboration and investment opportunities between the two capitals, as well as ways to enhance cooperation between Arab and European cities.
 He also met with Governor of Damascus Maher Muhammad Marwan to learn about the urban challenges facing the Syrian capital, and ways to address them with Arab and international organizations' cooperation. Additionally, he held a meeting with Mayor of Turin Dr. Stefano Lo Russo, where the two parties discussed opportunities to exchange experiences in digital transformation, sustainability, and enhancing the quality of life in cities.
