SPA Documents Arrival of Pilgrims at Prophet’s Mosque on First Friday After Hajj
The camera lens of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) documented pilgrims’ arrival at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah to perform the first Friday prayer after completing the Hajj rituals, while SPA also accompanied Security Aviation aerial sorties that monitored crowd and visitor movement before and after the prayer, amid an integrated system of security and organizational services provided by the relevant authorities.
The Prophet’s Mosque and its courtyards witnessed large numbers of worshippers from early morning, as pilgrims arriving in Madinah after completing the Hajj rituals gathered to pray at the mosque and greet the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his two companions, in an atmosphere of safety and tranquility.
SPA accompanied Security Aviation sorties over the central area and the Prophet’s Mosque as part of efforts supporting security and organizational plans during the post-Hajj season. The flights contribute to traffic management and the monitoring of high-density areas, enhancing rapid response and coordination among entities involved in serving pilgrims.
The aerial sorties also contributed to monitoring the movement of crowds and vehicles during worshippers’ arrival at the Prophet’s Mosque and after the conclusion of Friday prayer, through aerial support for field entities and assistance in organizational efforts at sites experiencing high visitor density, enhancing operational readiness and strengthening the safety of pilgrims and visitors.
Roads and major routes leading to the Prophet’s Mosque and Islamic and historical sites saw organized movement of pilgrims and visitors amid integrated security and service efforts that facilitated their transportation and enabled them to perform their worship and visits with ease and convenience.
Government, security, and service entities continue their integrated efforts to serve pilgrims during the post-Hajj period, within the framework of the Kingdom’s efforts to provide services to pilgrims and visitors, in line with the objectives of the Pilgrim Experience Program, one of the programs of Saudi Vision 2030.
