WAMY Marks International Day of Poverty Eradication, Commends Saudi Arabia's Humanitarian Leadership
On the occasion of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, observed on October 17, the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) commended the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in empowering people and combating poverty both domestically and internationally. These efforts, achieved through social support programs and humanitarian and development initiatives, reflect the deeply rooted Islamic and humanitarian values of the Kingdom's approach.
WAMY affirmed that Saudi Arabia has become a global model for sustainable humanitarian action, citing its unique initiatives and pioneering institutions like the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief). Domestically, national programs support low-income families and contribute to the Saudi Vision 2030 goal of building a balanced and interdependent society.
The assembly also highlighted its own efforts to combat poverty through education and development, which include sponsoring orphans, financing small projects, and providing scholarships and vocational training in various countries. WAMY affirmed its continued commitment to serving humanity and empowering youth and vulnerable groups worldwide.
