Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Visits Saudi Pavilion at World Urban Forum in Baku
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov visited the Saudi pavilion participating in the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13), currently being held in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku.
During his visit, he reviewed key Saudi initiatives and projects in urban development and sustainable housing and was briefed on the Kingdom’s experience in city development and quality-of-life enhancement, as well as efforts to promote urban sustainability and adopt smart solutions in the municipal and housing sectors, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
He also explored models and projects showcased at the pavilion that reflect the urban transformation taking place across the Kingdom and its development plans aimed at building more sustainable, efficient, and livable cities, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s position as a global model in integrated urban development.
The Saudi pavilion, with participation from several government, private, and nonprofit entities, highlights leading national experiences in urban planning, architectural identity, housing, municipal investment, and smart technologies as part of the Kingdom’s participation in the forum organized by UN-Habitat.
