Environment Ministry Conducts Over 26,000 Market Inspections in Q3 2026
The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture conducted 26,118 inspection rounds across the Kingdom's public utility markets during the third quarter of 2026, targeting produce, livestock, and meat markets, as well as slaughterhouses, to verify food safety and supply stability.
Operations scaled from 3,729 rounds in July (yielding 335 violations and 571 warnings) to 12,220 in August, and 10,169 across 17,857 facilities in September, mobilizing 1,165 inspectors.
The ministry affirmed stable supplies backed by high self-sufficiency levels—led by dates (127%), dairy (120%), eggs (105%), and vegetables (82%)—reiterating its commitment to sustained field oversight to safeguard food security under Saudi Vision 2030.
