Pilgrims warned against sharing razor blades
The Ministry of Health has warned pilgrims against sharing razor blades as an infection control measure and to reduce the risk of transmission of infectious diseases such as viral hepatitis B and C.
The Ministry urged pilgrims to take care and caution when shaving their hair after throwing Jamarat Al-Aqba on Eid day.
It advised every pilgrim to use his private shaving kit to ensure a safe and clean haircut or make sure that shared razors are properly sterilized before him.
The Ministry also advised pilgrims to be cautious not to tread on used razors at the shaving places on the streets.
It called for the use of disposable razor blades and avoid sharing razors as well as hair remnants removing brushes and sponge.
