Riyadh Region Governor Attends IsDB Group’s Golden Jubilee Celebration on Behalf of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques

Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz attended the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group hosted by Riyadh on Sunday, representing the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. The celebration took place on the sidelines of the 2024 IsDB Group Annual Meetings, with the Minister of Finance and Chairman of the IsDB Group's Board of Governors, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, in attendance.
Upon his arrival, Prince Faisal bin Bandar was welcomed by Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan and IsDB President Muhammad Al-Jasser.
Delivering the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ speech, Prince Faisal bin Bandar commended this historic occasion, which honors the journey of the IsDB Group over the past fifty years.
He added that this journey “embodied the values of humanitarian solidarity through the cooperation among member countries of the group, which has achieved success and developmental impact in our Islamic societies.” Prince Faisal bin Bandar credited this success first and foremost to Allah, and then to the cooperation, support, and contributions of the member countries in ensuring the group's progress.
He commended the member states’ efforts towards ensuring the achievement of the group’s targets and strategies for comprehensive development in the countries of the Islamic world. “The Kingdom calls upon member countries to continue supporting the group in order to empower it to fulfill its role and meet the aspirations of the Islamic peoples to be a fundamental and central element in the future and progress of humanity,” he added.
