KSrelief Inaugurates Sewage Treatment Plant and Delivers Garbage Trucks in Yemen

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) yesterday inaugurated a sewage treatment plant and delivered six garbage transport trucks to the Yemeni side in Marib Governorate.

The plant includes 10 sedimentation tanks, a dedicated operation and control room, and an agricultural nursery. The delivered vehicles comprise three dewatering trucks with a capacity of 12 cubic meters each for liquid waste and three compactor trucks with a capacity of eight cubic meters each for solid waste.

Deputy Governor of Marib Dr. Abdrabuh Miftah praised the project, stressing that it will contribute to enhancing environmental health, combating disease, and preventing groundwater pollution.

The project comes within the humanitarian and relief efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, to establish an integrated and sustainable sewage network that improves the living and environmental conditions for displaced and host communities in Yemen.
