Saudi-Chadian Islamic Cooperation Strengthened with Executive Program Signing
Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh signed an executive program for the memorandum of understanding between the ministry and the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Chad during a ceremony held in Jeddah yesterday. The signing ceremony was attended by the president of the council, Dr. Muhammad Khatir Issa, along with a number of officials from both the ministry and the council.
Both sides affirmed that the executive program strengthens the framework of cooperation and contributes to unifying efforts to serve Islam and Muslims, promote the values of moderation and tolerance, and combat extremism and terrorism.
The executive program encompasses several areas of cooperation, most notably the organization of training courses for preachers and imams in the Republic of Chad, as well as the provision of copies of the Holy Quran, translations of its meanings, and scholarly and dawah publications issued by the ministry to the council.
In addition, the program covers invitations to participate in Islamic seminars and conferences, Quran memorization competitions, and visits for preachers and students of Islamic knowledge to Chad. It further includes cooperation in the field of online outreach and the exchange of expertise in audio-visual religious media production.
The signing of this executive program reflects the ministry's continued efforts to strengthen international Islamic cooperation and expand partnerships with Islamic institutions worldwide, in support of the tolerant message of Islam and the promotion of moderation and balance.
