Saudi Arabia's Values of Giving: KSrelief Continues Humanitarian Efforts in Afghanistan

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) continues to provide aid to those in need in Afghanistan by implementing a range of projects and programs. These initiatives embody the values of giving and humanitarian solidarity embraced by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, contributing to alleviating the suffering of affected populations.

In 2024, KSrelief implemented a program to support Afghan refugees returning to their country, providing 5,500 food baskets that benefited 33,000 individuals across the provinces of Kabul, Kandahar, and Nangarhar. KSrelief also distributed shelter aid, including 4,882 tents and other household supplies, to over 34,000 displaced individuals across 13 provinces as part of a program to support returning refugees and those affected by floods.

In July of this year, KSrelief launched a food-security support and emergency response project in Afghanistan. It includes the provision of 5,000 food baskets in Nangarhar Province, benefiting 30,000 individuals who have returned from Pakistan. These efforts affirm the Kingdom's active role in international humanitarian work and its commitment to helping those in need around the world.
