
Saudi University Teams Compete in FISU World University Games in Germany
Saudi university teams are continuing their participation in the FISU Summer World University Games, taking place in Germany from July 16 to 28.
Sprinter Abdulaziz Al-Shahrani qualified for the semifinals of the 100-meter race after placing third in his heat with a time of 10.71 seconds.
Today's events feature Taekwondo, with Abdullah Al-Qumayzi competing in the round of 64 in the 63-kilogram category, and Mohammed Al-Suwaig entering the round of 32 in the 87-kilogram category.
In table tennis, the Saudi duo Khalid Al-Sharif and Turki Al-Mutairi are set to face a Chinese team in the doubles round of 32.
Al-Shahrani will also compete in the 100-meter semifinal. Meanwhile, the badminton team will launch its campaign in the mixed doubles round of 64, with Yazan Sayigh and Khadijah Kawthar. Sayigh and Abdulaziz Sardar will also play in the men’s doubles round of 64.
