Hail Municipality Reviews Health Initiatives with World Health Organization Delegation
Hail Municipality Mayor Eng. Sultan Al-Zaidi and a delegation from the World Health Organization reviewed a number of health-related projects, initiatives, and programs being implemented by the municipality as part of its comprehensive development plans to build a vibrant community that enjoys a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
The meeting addressed the municipality’s efforts to create a health-supportive urban environment through establishing and developing pedestrian walkways in neighborhoods and public parks, providing fitness equipment in gardens, and expanding dedicated bicycle lanes. These initiatives contribute to encouraging community members to engage in physical activity, reducing chronic diseases, and enhancing preventive healthcare. The discussion also covered initiatives related to improving the urban landscape and increasing green spaces, and their role in enhancing mental health and air quality.
The delegation was briefed on models of implemented projects, planning mechanisms, and integration among relevant entities to ensure the sustainability of initiatives, in addition to the municipality’s efforts to raise community health awareness and support activities that promote active lifestyles for all age groups.
