HRH the Crown Prince Holds Meeting with Jordanian King, Qatari Amir
A trilateral meeting was held today in Jeddah, bringing together His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest regional developments, the repercussions of the military escalation in the region, its risks to freedom of international navigation and the security of energy supplies, its impact on the global economy, and the coordination of joint efforts to enhance regional security and stability.
It was emphasized during the meeting that the continued Iranian attacks on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the Kingdom of Jordan, targeting vital and civilian infrastructure, constitute a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz; Minister of State, Cabinet Member, and National Security Advisor Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban; President of General Intelligence Presidency Khalid Al-Humaidan; and Secretary to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Dr. Bandar Al-Rasheed.
From the Jordanian side, the meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi; Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti; and Director of the King's Office Alaa Batayneh.
From the Qatari side, the meeting was attended by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani; Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani; Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi; and a number of other officials.
