King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSH) ranked first among healthcare institutions in Saudi Arabia in the Nature Index 2025 after publishing 35 scientific papers in journals tracked by the index and recording the highest research contribution among healthcare organizations in the Kingdom. The Nature Index is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading benchmarks for measuring the quality and impact of scientific research.
The Nature Index tracks research published in 145 of the world’s most selective and influential journals across the natural and health sciences. The journals are selected by an independent panel of researchers and experts based on scientific reputation and research impact, making the index a globally recognized reference for evaluating the scientific performance of academic and healthcare institutions.
In addition to measuring the number of published studies, the Nature Index evaluates institutions based on their actual contribution to scientific output and their influence on advancing global knowledge, reflecting the strength of their research presence and international scientific impact.
