Environment Vice Minister Launches Sidra Accelerator 2

Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Mansour Hilal Al-Mushaiti has launched the Sidra Accelerator 2 at the ministry in Riyadh, an initiative aimed at enhancing the Kingdom's environmental entrepreneurship ecosystem in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The Sidra Accelerator 2 is the first of its kind in the region, focusing on targeted sectors and selected ecosystem locations, specifically Riyadh and Boston, US, in collaboration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

The accelerator aims to empower environmental entrepreneurs, promote collaboration and strategic partnerships, and support startups in navigating complex regulatory frameworks.

The program is an intensive 12-week initiative targeting startups in the environmental technology sector. It supports growth and expansion through a robust network of local and international experts, access to key international ecosystems and markets, and opportunities to collaborate with leading venture capital firms, all of which enhance the startups’ development and global reach.

The accelerator journey consists of three main phases over several months, starting in Riyadh from July 6 to 10, moving to Boston from August 10 to 15, and concluding in Riyadh from November 16 to 20. This comprehensive program is designed to support and accelerate the development of startups, enabling expansion both locally and globally.
