King Faisal University Research Ranked Among Top 1% of Globally Impactful Studies in 2025
King Faisal University has continued to advance in global research performance indicators, with several of its scientific papers published in 2025 ranking among the world’s top 1% most impactful research, according to the Clarivate database. The papers, published in Q1 journals, represent a 325% increase compared to last year, underscoring the university’s sustained efforts to promote high-impact scholarly output.
Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Dr. Abdulrahman bin Issa Al-Laili said the achievement reflects a sustainable institutional approach to supporting high-quality research aligned with the university’s identity in food security and environmental sustainability. He noted that the strategy also seeks to expand publication in prestigious international journals and enhance overall research impact.
He added that maintaining strong regional and global standing demonstrates the maturity of the university’s research ecosystem, the stability of its organizational frameworks and researcher support policies, and the alignment of research outputs with national development priorities. This, he said, strengthens the university’s role as an effective research institution contributing to impactful knowledge production and supporting the national research and innovation system in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
Clarivate is a global database that documents and analyzes research output and measures scientific impact and is widely used by universities for evaluation and international rankings.
