KSGAAL Marks Five Years of Advancing Arabic Language Locally and Globally

King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL), established five years ago, focuses on promoting the Arabic language locally and globally through four key scientific tracks: language planning and policy, linguistics computing, educational programs, and cultural programs.
The KSGAAL's key achievements include the "Arabic Language Index," which is the first index assessing the Arabic language across eight domains and 50 sub-indices, gaining recognition with the Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain Prize.
The academy trained over 10,000 specialists from 145 entities, produced 800 scientific materials, and published over 380 refereed papers. It also launched the "Riyadh Dictionary of Contemporary Arabic" with over 120,000 words, created 24 specialized dictionaries, and developed the "Falak" platform for linguistic research.
The KSGAAL established the "Abjad" center for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, attracting over 32,000 applicants, and administered language immersion programs with significant participation and graduation rates. The academy also engaged with the community through YouTube channels for children and adults, cultural competitions, and exhibitions that reached thousands, fostering pride in the Arabic language.
It also launched the Arabic Language Innovation Accelerator, which supported over 180 entrepreneurs and provided training that led to funding for 15 companies focused on Arabic language products.
The KSGAAL has made significant strides in enhancing the presence and appreciation of the Arabic language.
