Saudi Red Crescent Revives Indonesian Pilgrim after Cardiac Arrest in Madinah
Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) emergency teams in Madinah Region successfully revived an Indonesian pilgrim after he suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest at a hotel in the city's central area.
Director General of the SRCA branch in Madinah Region Dr. Ahmed Al-Zahrani said the region's medical dispatch center received the report and immediately dispatched the nearest ambulance team to the site. The team arrived within three minutes and one second.
Paramedics administered advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with approved medical protocols, successfully restoring the pilgrim's pulse before transferring him to Al-Salam Endowment Hospital for further treatment.
Al-Zahrani said the intervention came as part of the SRCA's emergency preparedness plan for the 1447 AH Hajj season and its round-the-clock efforts to provide emergency medical services to pilgrims and visitors in Madinah.
