TGA Extends Status Rectification Deadline for Goods, Bus Operators to February 2027

Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and Chairman of the Transport General Authority (TGA) Saleh Al-Jasser has issued two decisions extending regulatory compliance deadlines for road transport establishments until February 27, 2027.

The extension applies to enterprises engaged in heavy and light goods transport for commercial and non-commercial purposes, as well as private bus passenger transport, giving time to complete status rectifications and meet regulatory requirements under the Road Transport Law.

Under the first decision, private bus passenger transport operators receive an extension to add new activity classifications to their commercial registrations as a prerequisite for licensing, alongside aligning operational procedures with executive regulations.

The second decision extends the timeline for heavy goods transport establishments to transition vehicle registration from private to public transport and secure mandatory operating cards. It also grants light goods transport firms additional time to issue professional driver cards and align operational standards with approved regulatory frameworks, ensuring business continuity across the logistics sector.
