Wadi AlFann: AlUla’s Vision for a Permanent Global Landmark in Contemporary Art
Wadi AlFann is an ambitious cultural project in AlUla designed to transform a vast desert landscape into a permanent contemporary art destination. By integrating site-specific installations into the natural topography, the project creates an open-air museum that respects the valley's unique geological and human history.
A delegation of arts specialists and media representatives recently toured the site to review the project’s phased vision. Adhering to strict sustainability principles, Wadi AlFann will host works by world-renowned artists inspired directly by the environment. While the site is currently closed to the public, its gradual development aims to establish a permanent visual dialogue between art and nature, transcending traditional gallery experiences.
