NCA Continues Implementation of Cybersecurity Enhancement Program for Hajj
The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) continues implementing the “Cybersecurity Enhancement Program” for 1447 AH Hajj, which it prepared to boost the cybersecurity readiness of technical systems and services provided during this year’s Hajj season, develop national specialized capabilities in cybersecurity, and raise cybersecurity awareness among pilgrims and personnel of national entities. The program enhances cybersecurity during Hajj and supports national efforts to mobilize all capabilities to provide the best services to pilgrims.
The Cybersecurity Enhancement Program for 1447 AH Hajj is based on four main tracks: monitoring and responding to cyber threats, cyber risks and assessments, cyber exercises, and cybersecurity awareness. It also includes activating a round-the-clock cybersecurity operations room to monitor and analyze cyber threats and share them with national entities, allocating cyber incident response teams, in addition to inventorying assets, services, and technical systems related to Hajj through the National Portal for Cybersecurity Services (Haseen), and developing plans to support national entities in assessing cybersecurity systems and technical services provided during the season.
NCA is the competent authority for cybersecurity in the Kingdom and the national reference for its affairs. It aims to enhance cybersecurity to protect vital interests, state infrastructure, and national security, as well as to safeguard critical infrastructure, priority sectors, government services and activities, establish frameworks for responding to cybersecurity incidents, monitor compliance with them, update them, and build specialized national capabilities in cybersecurity to achieve a secure and reliable Saudi cyberspace that enables growth and prosperity.
