Makkah Region Governor Patronizes Opening Ceremony of Saudi Industry Forum in Jeddah

Under the patronage of Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz inaugurated the second edition of the Saudi Industry Forum (SIF 2026) in Jeddah.
 The opening ceremony was attended by Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industrial Affairs Khalil bin Ibrahim bin Salamah, along with a number of industry ecosystem leaders and local and international investors.
 Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers Abdullah Kamel delivered a welcoming speech, saying: "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing significant growth in the industrial sector. The number of industrial establishments in the Kingdom has increased from 7,000 at the launch of Saudi Vision 2030 to more than 13,000 today across various economic activities, including activities that had not been licensed before the Saudi Vision, such as the military industries."
 Kamel noted that the Federation of Saudi Chambers works in strategic partnership with government entities concerned with the industrial sector to achieve the Kingdom's targets domestically and internationally. He affirmed the federation's continued support for investors in Saudi Arabia's industrial sector to help achieve national targets.
 As part of the forum, Kamel also held an open meeting with investors and entrepreneurs. They discussed opportunities and challenges related to the growth of the industrial sector, as well as initiatives and enablers within the industrial ecosystem aimed at stimulating quality investments and facilitating the journey of industrial investors.
 On the sidelines of the forum, 30 agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) were signed to support sustainable industrial development and the localization of technologies and promising industries in Saudi Arabia.
 The first day of SIF 2026, organized by the federation in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, featured several panel discussions. Topics included the partnership between the federation and the industrial ecosystem, the future of the Kingdom's food industries, key investment opportunities in Makkah Region, and the industrial empowerment ecosystem and its key initiatives.
