Masam Project Removes 1,609 Mines Across Yemeni Territories

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Masam project for clearing landmines in Yemen succeeded in removing 1,609 mines during the fourth week of May 2026 across various regions of Yemen, including 21 anti-tank mines, four anti-personnel mines, and 1,584 unexploded ordnances.
 The total number of mines removed since the beginning of May has risen to 6,323, while the total since the launch of the project has reached 564,339 mines, planted indiscriminately in various Yemeni territories, threatening civilian lives.
 The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, continues its efforts to clear Yemeni lands of mines, contributing to civilian safety and enabling a dignified and secure life for the Yemeni people.
