FSC Announces Formation of Saudi-Dutch Business Council

The Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce (FSC) has announced the formation of the Saudi-Dutch Business Council for its inaugural term (1446–1450 AH), following the approval of the General Authority of Foreign Trade. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mufarreh has been elected as chairman of the council.
Al-Mufarreh said establishing the council marks a new phase in the economic relations between Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands, aiming to empower both business sectors to seize promising investment opportunities and enhance commercial and investment partnerships between the two countries.
He added that the council held its first meeting to discuss setting specific targets and a strategic action plan, which will be implemented in coordination with relevant government entities to create a favorable investment environment that boosts commercial and investment cooperation between the business sectors of both sides.
Al-Mufarreh stressed that the action plan will focus on priority sectors in both kingdoms, especially those aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, and promote investment opportunities and market access in Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands. The plan also aims to facilitate the entry of Dutch companies into the Saudi market, which is considered one of the largest in the region.
FSC and its Dutch counterpart signed an agreement in April 2024 to establish the Saudi-Dutch Business Council, which officially begins its operations today as a key platform for business owners from both countries.
