Kidana Monitors Strength, Durability of Jamarat Facility's Infrastructure
The Jamarat facility in Mina is equipped with advanced Building Management System (BMS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) technologies, implemented by the Kidana Development Company, to monitor and manage the strength and durability of its infrastructure and the flow of large groups of pilgrims.
Kidana emphasized that the Jamarat facility is benefiting from several modern initiatives, including the modernization and replacement of power plants, the construction and renovation of restrooms in the basement, the upgrading of warning screens at bridge and tunnel entrances, and the improvement of climate control in the eastern yards through the use of spray fans. These initiatives aim to enhance services for pilgrims, upgrade the infrastructure of the Jamarat facility, and ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of its associated systems.
Additionally, Kidana explained that it plays a specific role at the Jamarat facility by transporting pebbles from specialized collection basins. Trucks carry the pebbles from the facility to designated areas outside, where they are collected and relocated immediately after the Hajj season to sites equipped for this purpose.
