Saudi Reef Marks Graduation of 20 Projects Under Rural Entrepreneurship Program
The Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program (Saudi Reef) celebrated the graduation of 20 pioneering projects nurtured within two specialized business incubators focused on agritourism and rural development, marking a milestone in the Rural Entrepreneurship program, which supports individuals with innovative ideas and projects across eight targeted sectors.
Saudi Reef spokesperson Majid Al-Buraikan stated that these qualified projects will significantly boost rural entrepreneurship. He emphasized that this graduation marks a vital step in empowering rural areas by introducing innovative models that strengthen the local economy and create new opportunities for small-scale producers.
Al-Buraikan noted that the program conducted eight training camps across eight different regions of the Kingdom. These camps targeted more than 200 entrepreneurial projects and ideas in rural tourism and rural development, covering areas such as agritourism, agricultural projects, and processing industries for products supported by the program.
He added that Saudi Reef primarily focused on educating small farmers and producers to enhance their understanding of entrepreneurship and business practices, ensuring their long-term involvement in the production process. The program also plans to expand this initiative to additional regions that were not included in the initial phase.
