Muzdalifah Mosque Ready to Receive Pilgrims, Says Ministry of Islamic Affairs

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance announced the completion of preparations at Al-Mashar Al-Haram Mosque in Muzdalifah. The mosque is now fully prepared to receive pilgrims after their departure from Arafat, where they will perform Maghrib and Isha prayers, combined and shortened. Its readiness is a key part of the comprehensive preparations for this year's Hajj season, 1446 AH.

The ministry recently finalized all maintenance and rehabilitation work for the mosque, including developing the sound systems, improving the performance of loudspeakers, installing modern surveillance cameras, and updating signage, emergency doors, and entrances, all to ensure the safety and comfort of pilgrims.

To further enhance the mosque's efficiency and readiness, the capacity of the women's prayer hall was doubled, addressing the growing need and significantly improving the quality of services provided to the pilgrims.

The mosque has been fully furnished, with a total area estimated at 3,500 square meters. It is equipped with nine main gates, four secondary gates, and eight emergency gates, all designed to ensure smooth entry and exit for the large numbers of pilgrims.

Al-Mashar Al-Haram Mosque is one of the most prominent landmarks of the holy sites. It serves as a central station and a majestic sight for pilgrims during their overnight stay in Muzdalifah. It is also associated with a major Hajj ritual through which Muslims draw closer to Allah Almighty.
