Jazan’s Mountain, Mangrove, Valley Forests Enrich Ecotourism Landscape

Jazan is home to 71 forests covering 62,747.35 hectares across its mountains, valleys, and Red Sea coastline, showcasing the region’s rich environmental diversity and natural wealth.

 Some 30 mountain forests extend across the highlands, featuring lush vegetation and scenic landscapes that attract nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

 Along the coast, 23 mangrove forests form a vital ecosystem that protects shorelines, supports marine life, and provides habitats for numerous bird species.

 The region also contains 18 valley forests, where watercourses, vegetation, and natural formations combine to create distinctive landscapes that offer opportunities for exploration and recreation.

 Together, these forests play an important role in strengthening Jazan’s ecotourism sector, supporting biodiversity conservation, and preserving natural resources for future generations.
