HRH the Crown Prince Chairs Cabinet Session in NEOM

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the Cabinet session held in NEOM today.
 At the outset of the session, HRH the Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on the contents of his phone conversations with United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Republic of Korea President Lee Jae-myung, and Italian Republic Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, as well as on the message he received from Republic of Sierra Leone President Dr. Julius Maada Bio.
 In reviewing regional and international developments, the Cabinet strongly condemned the statements made by the prime minister of the Israeli occupation government regarding the so-called “greater Israel vision,” reaffirmed its absolute rejection of the occupation authorities' settlement and expansionist plans, and stressed the historical and legal right of the brotherly Palestinian people to establish their independent, sovereign state on their land, in line with the relevant international laws.
 In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency following the session, Minister of State, Cabinet Member for Shura Council Affairs, and Acting Minister of Media Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed said the Cabinet strongly condemned the approval by the Israeli occupation authorities to build settlements around the occupied city of Jerusalem. The Cabinet reiterated the Kingdom’s call on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council permanent members, to take immediate measures to compel the occupation authorities to halt their crimes against the Palestinian people and their occupied land, and to comply with UN resolutions.
 The Cabinet affirmed the Kingdom’s support for all diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving the Russia–Ukraine crisis through peaceful means and achieving peace between the two countries, and welcomed the two summits held by United States President Donald Trump with Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin and with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and leaders of European countries.
 On the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, observed annually on August 19​​, the Cabinet expressed its pride in the Kingdom’s blessed journey in this field since its founding until the present day, supporting humanity and its development on the basis of firm principles derived from the noble Islamic religion and lofty values, and leading to the establishment of its standing among the world’s largest donor countries.
 With the new academic year approaching, the Cabinet reviewed the recent achievements in the education sector, including curriculum development, raising the professional level of teachers, integrating artificial intelligence into education, expanding technical training, efforts to identify and support talented students, and creating learning environments that foster creativity and innovation. The goal of these initiatives is to ensure the Kingdom remains a leader in education. The Cabinet also wished all students success and excellence for the upcoming academic year.
 The Cabinet addressed other items on its agenda and issued several decisions, including the following:
 First:
 Authorizing the minister of sport, or a deputy, to discuss and sign with the Spanish side a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of sport between the Ministry of Sport of Saudi Arabia and the Superior Sports Council of Spain.
 Second:
 Authorizing the minister of foreign affairs, or a deputy, to discuss and sign with the General Secretariat of the Middle East Green Initiative a draft headquarters agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the General Secretariat of the Middle East Green Initiative.
 Third:
 Authorizing the minister of health, or a deputy, to discuss and sign with the Syrian side a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the health fields between the Saudi and Syrian ministries of health.
 Fourth:
 Approving a memorandum of understanding between the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority of Saudi Arabia and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of Azerbaijan in the field of developing the small and medium enterprises sector and entrepreneurship.
 Fifth:
 Authorizing the minister of finance and chairman of the board of directors of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), or a deputy, to sign a draft agreement for cooperation and mutual assistance in customs matters between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
 Sixth:
 Approving an agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the United States of America on mutual assistance between the customs administrations of both countries.
 Seventh:
 Approving an agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of Grenada in the field of air transport services.
 Eighth:
 Authorizing the minister of tourism and chairman of the board of directors of the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA), or a deputy, to discuss and sign with the Qatari side a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of tourism promotion and marketing between the STA and Qatar Tourism.
 Ninth:
 Approving a cooperation memorandum in the field of documentation and archiving between the National Center for Archives and Records of Saudi Arabia and the Maldivian Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information and Art's National Archives of Maldives.
 Tenth:
 Authorizing the minister of human resources and social development and chairman of the board of directors of the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), or a deputy, to discuss and sign with the US side a draft memorandum of understanding in the field of training and administrative development between the IPA and the University of California Berkeley Executive Education.
