MWL Secretary-General Opens Fourth ASEAN Scholars Council Forum in Malaysia

Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa inaugurated the Fourth Forum of the ASEAN Council of Scholars in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in the presence of Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

 The forum featured extensive participation by muftis and senior scholars from ASEAN nations.

 Among the council’s notable achievements this year was the launch of the Arabic language project for Quran memorization in the region. The occasion also included honoring the second cohort of distinguished Quran memorizers who received formal certifications in Quranic recitation through the MWL’s global electronic Quran recitation platform.
